Meet Dr. Ries

Dr. Gary R. Ries received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Drew University, Madison, New Jersey. After college, he earned his dental degree (D.M.D.) from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, Boston, Massachusetts. He did a general practice dental residency at the Veterans Administration Hospital in East Orange, New Jersey earning a Certificate in General Practice Dentistry. Following that, Dr. Ries completed his Certificate in Endodontics at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Ries joined Madison Endodontic Associates in 1976. He taught and has served as the Chief of Endodontics at Methodist and Meriter Hospitals from 1977-1997. He is a Fellow of the International College of Dentists. Dr. Ries has been recognized by his peers as a top endodontist in Madison Magazine (2004, 2006, 2008).

Dr. Ries is a specialist member of the American Association of Endodontists, the American Dental Association, Wisconsin Dental Association, Dane County Dental Society, Wisconsin Endodontic Association, Society for Apical Excellence Study Club, and numerous other professional organizations.
